Review: A Funeral in the Bathroom: And Other School Bathroom Poems

A Funeral in the Bathroom: And Other School Bathroom Poems by Kalli Dakos My rating: 3 of 5 stars Anything in the bathroom is funny, right? Maybe I should copy some of the poems and put them in the bathroom stalls at school. Especially the puzzle ones! View all my reviews

Review: Zombie in Love

Zombie in Love by Kelly DiPucchio My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book was on the 2012 children's choices list for 1st and 2nd grade, but I think older kids would like it because of the humor. I can't wait to share this book! View all my reviews

Review: Pirates Don't Take Baths

Pirates Don't Take Baths by John Segal My rating: 4 of 5 stars This one might might be good to talk about similarities and differences. But I am going to read and recommend it because it's silly and fun! View all my reviews

Review: Suryia and Roscoe: The True Story of an Unlikely Friendship

Suryia and Roscoe: The True Story of an Unlikely Friendship by Bhagavan Antle My rating: 4 of 5 stars The real photographs of the animals in this book are awesome! I can't say I am a big animal fan, but learning just a little bit about some animals that I don't see except for in a zoo was kind of fun. This book will make you want to hug an orangutan or your dog! View all my reviews

Review: Saving Audie: A Pit Bull Puppy Gets a Second Chance

Saving Audie: A Pit Bull Puppy Gets a Second Chance by Dorothy Hinshaw Patent My rating: 3 of 5 stars If you like dogs, you will love this book. It was a cool way to tell a story of how terrible dog fighting is and a recent case involving a famous NFL player who was part owner in a dog fighting ring. It tells you a lot about what happens when dogs are rescued. View all my reviews

Review: Gibbus Moony Wants to Bite You!

Gibbus Moony Wants to Bite You! by Leslie Muir My rating: 3 of 5 stars This is a fun book about a little vampire that is great for little kids who either love vampires or love to bite things - like Neck-tarines. View all my reviews

Blue Chicken by Deborah Freedman My rating: 3 of 5 stars I think that I will read this to our Kindergartners on Blue day this year! The illustrations are really great in this one. View all my reviews

Review: Goldie and the Three Hares

Goldie and the Three Hares by Margie Palatini My rating: 3 of 5 stars Oh, Goldilocks. You are making yourself look very selfish... but the Hares are perfect hosts! View all my reviews

Review: The Sleepless Little Vampire

The Sleepless Little Vampire by Richard Egielski My rating: 4 of 5 stars I totally want to read this book to my daughter around Halloween or if she is ever afraid of all of the sounds of the dark. I think it would be fun to read this to Kindergarten around Halloween, too! My favorite is the little frankenstein doll the little vampire is hugging. View all my reviews

Review: Ten

Ten by Lauren Myracle My rating: 3 of 5 stars It was fun to read about Winnie's fun life. Each chapter was like a mini short story about her day, so you could read a little bit at a time. View all my reviews

Review: Bad Kitty Meets the Baby

Bad Kitty Meets the Baby by Nick Bruel My rating: 3 of 5 stars I have a baby, so I like to read books about babies right now. It was also fun that the Kitty Olympics was going on in the book since I am very excited about the Olympics starting in a couple of weeks. Bad Kitty was annoyed as usual, and it was as funny as the others in the Bad Kitty Series. View all my reviews

Unsinkable

Unsinkable by Gordon Korman My rating: 3 of 5 stars This book was interesting because we all know about the Titanic. Especially because it is the 100 year anniversary of it's sinking. I liked to get the perspectives of children on the boat - in all sections of it. This is a series of 3 books so by the end of this one, all is still well on the ship. I wonder what happens to the characters in the end. View all my reviews
