Love this adventure! I totally want to go visit this zoo like place in Texas. This was just a fun one to read. I loved that the main character told adults his problems throughout the story. I always yell at the books when kids think they can handle it without telling anyone, but since he did tell and they just didn't help him, I found myself cheering for the main character the entire time.

The Lightning Thief

by Rick Riordan The first in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is pretty good. It mixes a current story with ancient greek mythology. I was never a fan of mythology, but this story kept me reading until the end. I enjoyed the twists and turns and would recommend it to any age 3rd grade and up!
